How to delete your account

Delete your SetBook account yourself, and what happens to your data and billing when you do.

You can delete your account yourself. You don't need to email us to do it.

Before you do, it's worth knowing that if you're deleting because of a password warning, you probably don't need to. Changing your password takes thirty seconds and keeps your setlists. See How to change your password.

You can do it on either web or mobile.

On the web

  1. Sign in at set-book.com.
  2. Open the menu at the top right and choose Settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom, to Danger Zone, and choose Delete account.
  4. Enter your password to confirm.

On mobile

  1. Open SetBook and tap your profile picture in the top right corner.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom, to DANGER ZONE.
  4. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

We ask you to confirm so that nobody who picks up your signed-in device can delete your account on your behalf.

What happens to your subscription

Any active subscription is cancelled as part of the deletion. You don't need to cancel separately first, and you won't be charged again.

This matters most if you're on a free trial with a card on file — deleting the account stops the trial from converting.

If you subscribed through Apple in the mobile app, your subscription is billed by Apple rather than by us, and Apple requires you to cancel it in your device's subscription settings. Deleting your SetBook account does not cancel an Apple subscription on its own.

What happens to your data

Your account is deactivated immediately — you're signed out and can no longer sign in.

Your data is then held for 30 days before removal. That window exists so an accidental or regretted deletion can be recovered. If you change your mind inside those 30 days, email [email protected] from the address on the account.

A few things to know:

  • Your email is remembered after deletion, purely so that signing up again doesn't grant a second free trial. It isn't used for anything else, and it isn't used to email you.
  • Bands and organizations you owned are closed down with your account, and any subscription attached to them is cancelled.
  • Gigs and setlists you shared with other people may remain visible to them if they saved their own copy. We can't remove content from someone else's account.

Want to keep the data?

Export anything you want first — once the retention window closes, we can't get it back for you. In Settings you'll find Export gigs as CSV, and the Earnings page can export your earnings for tax purposes.

Still stuck?

Email [email protected] and we'll help. Write from the address on the account, or tell us which address you signed up with, so we can find you.
